ZooLab Visit Cherry Trees Care Home

ZooLab visit our Rotherham based home Cherry Trees, a few times a year and it would be an understatement to say that the visits are well received.

Residents always have a great time interacting with the animals and are left in great spirits long after their departure.

This visit saw the team bringing in a giant African snail, a cockroach, tarantula, rat and a snake! Some of our residents were brave enough to hold the animals, whilst others preferred to look from afar. Residents were very intrigued to know more about all the animals and listened attentively as the rangers shared facts. June was most impressed to know that a Cockroach can survive being frozen for a full year, that one surprised us all June!

The visit left residents with smiles on their faces and they couldn’t stop talking about all the things that they had learnt for the rest of the day!
