Residents were very excited about this trip as they couldn’t wait to see all the old modes of transport that used to be around when they were growing up. Once they were there they had many stories to share about the things that they remembered.

Percy really enjoyed looking at all the transport examples that were on display at the museum and remembered a lot of the buses that were there. Percy used to be a bus driver in his younger days so being at the museum brought back many memories for him and he had many stories to tell.

Similarly, Jean used to be a bus conductor, so this was also a very exciting visit for her. She laughed and told everyone “oh I forgot how heavy the ticket machines used to be!” The visit proved to be very educational and progressive as it bought back positive memories for the group.
