Representing Our Residents in Interviews

This is Mr Daniel Cooney who is Langfield Care Home's new interviewer extraordinaire! Care homes are always seeking to place the individual at the centre of the care they provide, but Langfield in Middleton has gone one better and has enlisted the help of a resident with experience of conducting interviews. Daniel has been representing the views and requirements of our resident community at Langfield's and has made a very useful input into the selection of care staff. Thank you Daniel you have made recruitment a shared and inclusive part of home life. Similarly many our residents can often be found helping fold the laundry, cleaning tables or planting out the garden. Residents like to contribute to feel part of home life and here at Langfield, we don't get in their way as the benefits to our home and the residents are considerable.
