Remembering All the Good Times

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing has brought many emotions to the surface, none more so than in our care homes.

The majority of our residents have grown up with the Queen on the throne, living through major events and occasions.  From the emotional times of Winston Churchill’s Finest Hour to Royal Weddings and births, to the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, she has been vital link to the past and influenced their state of mind, giving them encouragement through her loyal and devoted service.

Residents have celebrated every occasion with vigour, giving them a sense of purpose and provided them with memories they can share with their family and friends for many years to come.

As King Charles III takes up his duties there is no doubt, he will dedicate himself to the role but it’s a hard act to follow and everyone at Orchard, residents and staff alike, will be behind him on his new journey.
