Lofthouse Grange & Lodge Summer Fair

Lofthouse Grange & Lodge enjoys some carnival inspired fun as their summer fair kicks off.

The Wakefield based home opened the doors to the public for their carnival inspired summer fair, they had a jam packed day planned with hook a duck, a sweet stall, a cake stand, apple bobbing, BBQ food, raffles and a tombola.

Everyone’s favourite part of the day was when Sarah the home’s Deputy Manager put herself forward to do a bucket challenge where you had to pay £2 to throw a bucket of water over her. Sarah had 12 buckets of water thrown over her by the staff, residents and family members, which left everyone laughing. One of the residents Joan said “that poor lass what are you all doing to her,” before getting a bucket and joining in!

The day carried on with much more fun and laugher and in the end the home raised an amazing £465! This will be put towards the resident’s fund.
