Lofthouse Grange and Lodge Visit Scarborough

The ladies at Lofthouse Grange and Lodge recently enjoyed some fish and chips and a walk along the sea front at Scarborough.

The staff took four of the ladies from the home on a day trip to Scarborough, the ladies were very excited about this especially when they saw that the sun was out. When they got there they walked along the sea front and admired the view whilst looking for somewhere to stop and enjoy some fish and chips.

The ladies were very excited to eat their fish and chips, they didn’t think they would manage to eat the full portion to themselves once the food arrived however, they could not help themselves and finished the whole lot! "Mmm the fish and chips are lovely” Thelma said.

The visit was extra special for one of the resident in particular, Esther as she lived in Scarborough for many years, she shared stories about her time there with the other ladies and staff. This inspired the other residents to reminisce about the holidays they have been on, everybody was laughing and telling stories about their previous visits to the seaside, they all agreed that caravan holidays are the best!

Overall there were a lot of laughs along the way and everyone enjoyed the trip a lot, being out of the house left all of the ladies in a good mood and they can’t wait for their next outing.
