Green Park Enjoy a Day at The Races

Green Park had their betting slips at the ready as they enjoyed a fun filled day at the races.

Everyone in the home joined in the fun and had their fingers crossed for some big winnings! The names of horses left some of the residents laughing, particularly Ivy, who was very pleased with her horse, Bottom Scratcher!

Everyone in the group made some small winnings in the first few races which Les was more than happy with, “We are multi-millionaires; I’m going on a night out on the town!” he told the group. This was a great group activity and enabled everyone to get involved and have some fun, Margaret was feeling very lucky as she won the first three races and made a whopping £6000. Sadly, her luck ran out when she put a big bet on the second to last race, nevertheless she remained in good spirits and enjoyed herself until the very end.

The overall winners of the day were Lillian and Josie, they won the most money and were presented with prizes by the activities coordinator Joe. The highlight of the day was the lovely buffet that was prepared by the staff, the group couldn’t wait to settle down and enjoy the yummy spread of food.
