Twiggy the tawny owl, and Freddie the barn owl, visited Three Bridges Nursing Home in Warrington, Cheshire, from the local farm where they live. The owls, from Stockley Farm in Cheshire, were very tame and visited the home meeting the residents and staff. The farm delivered an educating session, explaining the natural behaviours and habitats of the owls and how they are cared for. The residents were really excited to meet the owls up close, as many had never seen owls out of the wild. Valerie Marston, Home Manager at Three Bridges Nursing Home, said “Having the owl’s visit the home was a really exciting activity, the residents definitely had an enjoyable afternoon and it was really interesting learning about them. Hopefully we will have them visit us again soon.”   For updates on what's going on in our homes, follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/orchardcarehome/
