Easter Weekend Fun at Green Park
Residents from Green Park enjoyed a jam-packed weekend of fun as the sun shined down.
They started off their celebrations on Good Friday with a lovely virtual church service, whilst listening to the service they tucked into some yummy hot cross buns made by activities co-ordinator Gill.
Saturday was spent making Easter nest cakes, everyone got stuck in and couldn’t wait to taste the cakes. Barbara on the Windsor unit laughed away as she sneakily ate the chocolate mini eggs that were put out for decorating.
Easter Sunday saw a big raffle take place at the home, the aim of this was to raise funds for the sensory garden at the home. As part of the celebrations they enjoyed a Easter bonnet competition which was great fun. Residents were delighted to receive their very own Easter eggs from the home and enjoyed them whilst having a hymn sing along.
Maureen told Lisa and Gill that she had a great day, “I really enjoyed the bonnet making and was hoping for a win on the raffle,” she said.
