Dementia Action Week at Cherry Trees Care Home

To celebrate Dementia Action Week, the staff and residents of Rotherham based care home Cherry Trees took to the gardens, this was an activity that went down a treat with the residents in the home.

The group enjoyed potting plants and it was the perfect opportunity for them to reminisce and share stories about their own gardens. They discussed the different types of flowers that there were and which ones were their favourite.

One of the gardeners Phillip had fantastic knowledge on most of the flowers and he loved having the chance to get into the garden, as this was something he had enjoyed at home. Phillip told the group “This is just like the good old days”.
