Creative Crafts at Ashlea Mews
Residents at South Shields home Ashlea Mews have been celebrating summer by channelling their creativity.
The staff got out paintbrushes and paints for the residents to keep busy with, they painted pictures of flowers in plant pots and sunshines. This reminded them of their childhood summers and all the holidays they used to go on, residents spent hours talking about their favourite trips. All the while they listened to their favourite summer songs, “this was so relaxing,” Jack commented.
They then moved onto painting rocks, they used bright colours to adorn the rocks and personalised them to their own preferences. The rocks were then placed in the garden of the home for all their visitors to see, residents can’t wait to show them off to everyone.
