The home chose to make the most of their access to the Oomph minibus and headed towards Ryedale folk museum for a day filled with history and exploring. With a six-acre site and twenty buildings to explore the museum is a major attraction so the residents couldn’t wait to get there. On the way there the group admired the views, and saw a lot of wildlife, Freda was very excited as she saw a Grouse.

Whilst there the residents were immersed in agricultural history as they explored the ancient buildings and pretty cottage gardens that are on site. They then stopped off for a nice pub lunch that was washed down with a warming cup of tea. The group were all counting down the minutes until they could go to the old fashioned sweetshop, this was a blast from the past for our residents as they recalled their youth.
