Green Lodge Care Home Host Their Annual Halloween Party

04 November 2019 News

halloween_0.jpgGreen Lodge Care Home put their own take on Halloween with some “reverse Halloween” celebrations.

Residents from the home were so excited for their party to begin and couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they welcomed their friends and family into the home. Many of the staff members dressed up in some spooky costumes which inspired residents to try on some costumes of their own.

The most exciting part of the day was when the homes cook Carol bought her grandchildren in to join in with the celebrations. The children decided to give sweets to the residents instead of receiving them as part of “reverse Halloween,” Gladys loved playing with the children and said, “that was so much fun!”

Residents played lots of games with the children, they started off with doughnut bobbing which had everyone laughing away and then the time came for mystery tubs. The aim of this game was to put your hand into a tub and see what prizes you could find. It was a lovely day overall and everyone had great fun, Freda is already asking when the next party is!
