Friday Fish and Chips at Cherry Trees Care Home

Residents from Cherry Trees Care Home luncheon club decided to enjoy a Friday treat of fish and chips.

To keep up with the much-loved tradition of Friday fish and chips the home rang up their local chippy and got ordering. The residents were very excited about this as it took them back in time to when they used to enjoy this meal with their friends or children.

Alyson couldn’t wait to get into the activity room and tuck into her food, her son had previously told staff that fish and chips was a favourite meal and they both used to enjoy it together often in the past.

The group all made sure to order a side of mushy peas with their meal as they said it was the “perfect accompaniment.” Eileen finished every bit of her meal and sat back with a smile on her face saying “what a beautiful meal, you just can’t beat good old fashioned fish & chips!”
