Double Celebrations at Cherry Trees Care Home
Residents from our Rotherham care home Cherry Trees have been busy celebrating, Mother’s Day and St Patricks Day.
The ladies in the home were honoured with special gifts, some of which came from their family members and others from the local community. The local Asda store very kindly donated bunches of flowers for the residents and they couldn’t have been appreciative of them.
The staff at the home video and voice called loved ones of the residents so they were able to see each other and chat. The day was enjoyed by all and residents were left with big smiles on their faces as they thanked the staff for their efforts.
Following this was their next celebration, St Patricks Day! In honour of the day residents held an Irish themed bingo session which left everyone in fits of laughter, June took her position as the bingo caller as she does in many of the homes bingo sessions and she excelled.
John was crowned the winner of Bingo and was given a classic Irish drink of Guinness, which was very fitting as he is of Irish heritage.
