Team Leader

Do you have a passion for delivering high quality care and leading a team to success? Orchard Care Homes is seeking a Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring exceptional standards of care, and foster a positive, supportive team culture.

Pay rate: £14.40 per hour

Flexi Days and Nights- 44 hours per week 

This is a leadership position that plays a pivotal role in the success of the home. You'll work closely with the management team to ensure residents receive person-centred, compassionate care, and that the staff team is well supported, well trained, and engaged.

 Main Duties 

• Provide leadership and guidance to the care staff team, including Senior Care Assistants.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, national minimum standards, and Orchard’s core care principles.
• Conduct safeguarding investigations and manage risk assessments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation and records.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.
• Carry out regular performance reviews and offer continuous support and development.
• Manage and maintain staff rotas to ensure full shift coverage.
• Promote a safe, secure, and clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Lead on infection prevention and health & safety practices.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and support the development of individual care plans.
• Ensure clear, respectful, and effective communication within the care team.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of policies and best practices.

About you:

• Minimum 2 years in a Senior Care role
• QCF Level 3 minimum in Direct Care (Mandatory)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Compassionate, patient, and supportive approach
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
