Deputy Manager - Lofthouse Grange and Lodge Care Home 

Here at Lofthouse Grange and Lodge Care Home, we are very passionate about our home, our teams, residents and our service. We are now looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager to run the home on a daily basis, inline with our high standards. You will support with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home, and actively contribute to assessments and care reviews, acting as a point of contact for the team, your residents and their families.

This is a managerial role, supervising and monitoring the team within the home, therefore strong leadership qualities, effective communication and positive interpersonal skills are essential. These skills are also needed for developing good relationships within the multidisciplinary teams, along with regular liaison with residents, relatives, and prospective employees.

About You - you will have previous experience of working in a similar role. An NVQ3 in Direct Care with a willingness to work towards your Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care Qualification. Of course, you will need to demonstrate your excellent communication and leadership skills. All of this together with your natural ability to out others at ease will ensure you are able to real make a difference.  

A little more about the home….. Located with easy links to Leeds and Wakefield, Lofthouse Grange & Lodge is a modern home specialising in the care of older people, with the Grange providing 24hr residential care for 31 residents, and the Lodge providing additional round the clock dementia care to 57 residents. 

We offer both Residential Care and Residential Dementia Care. Orchard Care Homes are Winners of the 2023 LaingBuisson award for Excellence in Large Residential Care. Orchard Care Homes have been providing care for older people for over 15 years.
