Choosing a Care Home

We understand that finding the right care and support for yourself or a loved one can feel overwhelming. Moving to live in a care home can appear complicated, at Orchard Care Homes we have a team of dedicated and passionate people available to help guide you through every step of the process.

With a wide choice of residential care homes across the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Midlands, Orchard Care Homes provide additional levels of care such as nursing, dementia and specialist services including respite. Whether you need a care home or a home that offers additional support will depend on your assessment.

An individual will be assessed according to their needs. This could be carried out by the local authority or social services and referred to Orchard Care Homes for a secondary assessment, or directly with Orchard Care Homes for privately funded individuals.

Once assessed, we will only recommend homes to you that are suitable for your needs. We always encourage you to visit the homes and meet the Care Home Managers, staff and residents.

If your requirement is immediate we will only introduce you to homes with availability, or we may introduce you to a choice of homes that you can review at a later date. Our dedicated team of professionals can talk you through this process.
