Penwortham Grange and Lodge get their festive groove on

Penwortham Grange and Lodge celebrate Christmas by throwing not one, but two parties!

Penwortham Lodge hosted their party first, on Friday 15th December. Live music got the party started,  performed by Ian and Al from 'Music in mind'.  Music in mind are regular visitors to the home and always bring the joy! They sang Christmas carols and encouraged everyone to sing along. The residents joined in carolling, their voices harmonizing beautifully. Some even got up and had a dance!

After all the singing and dancing, people had worked up quite an appetite so the Christmas buffet was served. There was a full Christmas spread prepared, including festive freshly baked patisserie goods, homemade pigs in blankets and a tipple of wine/ beer for those who wanted a festive drink.

On Wednesday 20th December Penwortham Grange had their annual Christmas party. Residents also enjoyed wine, festive nibbles and even some specially prepared Christmas cupcakes.

There was dancing and singing. All of the residents were absolutely thrilled to let their hair down and join in on the fun.

The home organised for very special visitor, Annette Fairclough, a professional singer who performed all the Christmas classics and had the whole home up on their feet dancing the afternoon away.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon. One resident commented 'there wasn't a single dull moment!’

Our invite to these parties must have gotten lost in the mail, but we sure hope to be invited next time as these parties looked like too much fun!
