Riverside Go on an Oomph Trip to Cleethorpes
Two residents from the Barnsley based home Riverside went on an Oomph trip to Cleethorpes
Activity Coordinator Jackie and Care Assistant Kathy both planned this trip and did a great job. Residents were introduced to the driver and eagerly awaited their journey to the seaside. The residents and staff had a great road trip and made sure that they were stocked up on snacks and refreshments for the drive.
Violet and Albert were very excited and couldn’t wait to make their way down to the seafront, where they both enjoyed looking at the seagulls. Violet enjoyed looking out on to the beach at the children playing in the sand, making sandcastles and splashing in the sea, she had a huge smile on her face and said “it is so beautiful to be here.”
No trip to the seaside is complete without fish and chips, so the group made sure to stop off and fill their stomachs, they then ended the day with some yummy ice cream. Jackie said “I feel the two residents really enjoyed themselves and it was plain to see in their faces, they were smiling and interacting with other people at the seaside.”
