Residents from Eaton Court in Grimsby, enjoyed a wild day out recently when they took a trip to nearby Yorkshire Wildlife Park, in Doncaster. The group, comprising residents Bernard, Walter, and Joyce, together with Activity Coordinators Melanie and Julie made use of the home’s minibus to visit the popular tourist attraction, where they enjoyed walking round the extensive grounds, and visiting the variety of animals on display, including giraffes, lions, kangaroos, tigers, and meerkats. With the warm weather in abundance, the group were also able to enjoy a picnic in the sunshine, prepared by the home’s kitchen staff. Resident Joyce commented, “We had a lovely day out, and were really lucky with the weather. There were so many animals to see, it really was fascinating to watch them all. I particularly liked seeing the lions and tigers.” Activity Coordinator Melanie commented, “Day trips are such an important part of life in the home, offering a chance to have a change of scenery, and like today, enjoy some new experiences.” To keep up to date with news from the home, follow us on Facebook and YouTube
