Registered Nurse – Night 

£21.97 Per Hour 

LOCATION - Hylton Road, Sunderland, SR4 7AF

As a specialist Nurse Dementia Therapist in this setting, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of personal care and attention to people living with dementia, formulating, implementing, and maintaining nursing care plans. You will also supervise the staff in the home, ensuring the delivery of care is within the expectations of the Reconnect model. 


You will ensure that people are treated with respect and dignity, your approach is empathetic, compassionate and focused on ensuring their life is the best it can be, focussed on the strengths and abilities of the person.
You will need to be understanding and patient towards people and their needs, and encourage, assist and support people to participate in appropriate leisure activities and activities in daily living, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness.

People living with dementia often have continuing periods of loss and distress and do not live life to the full in care homes. Main Duties

To assist with delivery of the individuals care plan, working as an integral part of the caring team, to deliver the highest standards of person centred care, to people who are living with a complex dementia adopting a holistic approach which encompasses the individual needs of both the individual and their families to ensure that at they retain their identity, are comfortable, are engaged in meaningful activities and that communication is appropriately facilitated, that they retain their independence and that their choice are met at all times and that they are treated with respect and dignity and given their rights to privacy.
